The International Pre-School of Lund (IPSL) specifically caters to the needs of the children between 3 and 6 years old, whose parents relocate internationally, ensuring an academically compatibleeducation and socially engaging environment. English is the main instruction and education language, although the Swedish culture and language is heavily promoted. Various trips into the community take place regularly, and a ’stories and rhymes‘ session in Swedish is held twice weekly. We follow an educational programme that is both compatible with Swedish and international standards, and designed to ensure children remain on a par with their peers where ever they go.IPSL opened in January 2005. It is a private preschool run by joint directresses and co-founders Lisa Chambers and Melani Moniharapon. It is situated in an attractive residential area on the east side of Lund.

OPENING TIMES
The pre-school day runs between 8.30 – 13.30 Monday – Friday during school term times. Care is available both before and after school, and during. Non working parents, or one working parent families may use these facilities at an extra cost.

We accept applications for both long and short term stays. Children with English as their second language are welcome.

SCHOOL FEES
IPSL is funded by the kommun, so there is no set ’school fee‘. However, each family is required to pay a monthly ‚max taxa‘ which is calculated on the individual household income. This system is common practice in Sweden. A healthy meal is provided daily free of charge.
